Schadenfreude

Main Entry: scha·den·freu·de
Pronunciation: \ˈshä-dən-ˌfri-də\
Function: noun
Usage: often capitalized
Etymology: German, from Schaden damage + Freude joy
Date: 1895

: enjoyment obtained from the troubles of others

That's the word I've seen before and couldn't remember... basically when your friend gets a bad grade or something, you secretly feel happy about it.

The English language is so odd... but new words can always be invented! Just look at Lewis Carroll for inspiration :)

I like how there seems to be a word for everything!

Well, almost everything.
