Ideas

So I've been thinking about some new blog ideas:

1) I have some friends who continually wear really cool jewellery [like I have an Earrings friend and a Rings friend]... so I've been thinking about making a blog dedicated to their style? Maybe? I'd have to remember to bring my camera all the time though...

2) A collection of beautiful people [in my opinion, at least]. But none of them will be celebrities, just my friends and/or other people who are pretty...

3) A music blog? Well... I don't discover -that- much cool music though >.<

In psychology class, I started thinking about characters with parts of their brain cut out... like the lateral hypothalamus. Or getting their amygdalas damaged and then being fearless in their life.

I don't even know.
Thoughts?

All kinds of wonderful things

My first attempt to make donuts!
Which kinda turned out like bagels, since we didn't have a deep fryer [we baked them!].
Covered in strawberry frosting and rainbow nonpareils, they look perfectly delicious though :)

My mum made sushi. It looks quite good, doesn't it?

An Alice- in-Wonderland-inspired gift for my best friend's birthday. Inside is a scroll with her poem printed on it.

Wonderland

See the lines blur, the colors pale
And the towns fade away.
Let us go, escape the noise of the city.

Forget what you know,
What you are used to,
What you are comfortable with.
Yes, leave it all behind,
They are not part of you.

We would run into the woods,
Covering our bodies with morning dew
Filling our noses with fragrance
Flooding our eyes with misty green.

Down the rabbit hole we shall fall, fall, fall,
With no purpose but to fly,
Slowly but surely,
Into the unknown.

At the same time, we shall learn to let go:
Our memories, our pains, our fears.
And realize, once and for all,
Who we are without the backdrop,
And what we are when owning nothing but
A dream in our heads.

"Drink Me."
I should've put "Read Me," but then it wouldn't have made sense to put it in a bottle... aha.
I love message in a bottle type of things. Floating out to sea...

That's actually silver friendship bracelet string!

A cute comic from the Saturday morning newspaper.
I suppose this is more appropriate for Valentine's, so consider it belated!
"Maybe everything we've ever done has been for love."

"Don't you have the feeling," asked Madame Bovary, "that something happens to free your spirit in the presence of all that vastness? It raises up my soul to look at it, somehow. It makes me think of the infinite, and all kinds of wonderful things." ~p. 97

"Have you ever had the experience," Léon went on, "of running across in a book some vague idea you've had, some image that you realise has been lurking all the time in the back of your mind and now seems to express absolutely your most subtle feelings?" ~p. 99

Gustave Flaubert is a great, very descriptive writer... he goes into so much detail about the places that I can picture it extremely vividly. In that sense, he almost reminds me of Oscar Wilde [in "The Picture of Dorian Gray," at least!]. I think there's a movie version of Madame Bovary... Not sure if I want to see it, but I guess I should finish the book first. My friend already spoiled the ending and says Emma is a terrible heroine, but... we'll see!

Two days in one! [happy Chinese New Year and Valentine's!]

It's so coincidental that both Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day are on the same day this year. I think Chinese New Year overshadowed Valentine's a bit, which I think some people will be very happy about.

There's alot of bitterness towards Valentine's Day.
But... all you need is love, right?

So we went to Church for a potluck dinner. People should bring more fruits there, because I only got one clementine and by the time I went back, there were no more! But everyone was sitting in the room with the piano, and the drummer guy for praise team started playing all different piano songs. Everything ranging from classical to pop... Everyone started singing along to "Love Song" and "Do Re Mi" and it was so great. Too bad my best friend wasn't there, it's her birthday tomorrow.

The performances were really good too! There was this interview thing [in the spirit of Valentine's Day] where married couples had to see how well they knew each other. And the wife would write her answers and the husband was supposed to guess what she wrote. It was sooo funny, especially with some of the deacons and elders... "What's your strongest asset to the family?" "Hmm... weeeell, I have so many, it's hard to pick..." "Here's a hard one: when is your child's birthday?" "Uuuuh......" x]

There was also this skit performed by these two elderly grandmas, reminiscing about their childhood Chinese New Years'. And they put red paint [rouge] on their cheeks and forehead and ate lollipops and acted like little kids! It's really cool to see old people pretend to be children. It's like... they haven't lost that spirit, you know?

And then there were some unexpected perfomances by this guy who started breakdancing, and he was really good. Like... flips and cartwheels! And this girl wrote a song during dinner, which she performed [with her friend translating into Chinese after each line she sings! aha]. She has an amazing voice, so she'd be singing and right after, her friend would say the Chinese translation in a monotone voice... so amusing. And then this little boy started doing karate! We started joking that he'd be joining the 2020 Olympics and represent the U.S.

Finally was the skit we'd been all waiting for... by the youth group, of course! So it's based off the classic Chinese zodiac story, about how the zodiac order was determined on which animal met the god at the mountain. Except it was a race. And everyone dressed up like the animals! My friend [the tiger] had on face paint and wore a shredded orange shirt over a black one to simulate tiger stripes x] And his sister played the monkey, she was the only animal registered at the race and all the other animals kept dropping out! For example, the tiger shows up with a KFC box and is like, "Oh yeah, the chicken won't be showing up this year... or the year after that..." Aha. Poor chicken! And then the rabbit [drummer guy!] comes in and is like, "Gosh, I just finishing racing with the tortoise, I can't believe I overslept AGAIN!" But in the race, of course the rabbit oversleeps once more [does he ever learn?] and the monkey trips over the sleeping rabbit. So the tiger wins the race [but of course, since it's the year of the tiger!]!

All in all, super-fun night :)
And no school tomorrow, again!
It doesn't even come as a surprise now...

I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day and/or Chinese New Year?

Kate Nash is brill =]

"You're chatting to me, like we connect
But I don't even know if we're still friends
It's so confusing,
Understanding you is making me not want to do

And think things like: 'I know I should do'
But I trip up and then I lose
I hate looking like a fool

The lights are on
And someone's home
I'm not sure if they're alone
There's someone else inside my head
Living to fill me with dread

This paranoia is distressing
But I spend most of my night guessing
Are we not, are we together?
Will this make our lives much better?

I'm not in love
I just wanna be touched

Oops I think I've got too close
'Cause now he's telling me I'm girl that he likes most
Now I messed up, it's not the first time
I'm not saying you're not on my mind
I hope that you don't think I'm unkind..."

"Pumpkin Soup" ~Kate Nash
I love her British diction: "this para-noia is- dis-tressing."
Each syllable is so proper and distinct!

So yeah, this pretty much sums up my life lately.
Perfectly fitted into a song!
x]

Watch the video, it's sooo cute!

The set for the music video.

Love her shirt! x]
Kate's style is lovely... [I like her dresses and leggings stuff!]

C'est vendredi!

"The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them - words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they’re brought out. But it’s more than that, isn’t it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you’ve said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it. That’s the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller, but for want of an understanding ear.”
-Stephen King

(found on www.mypointeofview.blogspot.com)

So I was grocery-shopping with my dad after he picked me up from school and I heard...
"Do do do do do do do do dooooooo-do-do-do..."
Fall Out Boy had been playing in the store and I wished they would play Muse, for some reason
suddenly "Uprising" came on!!
Wow, what a psychic moment.
I was like, "Wow! They're finally getting playing on American radio!" :D
Clicckkkkk... [Plug In Baby literally, aha]

*Songs*

1. "You Wouldn't Like Me" ~Tegan & Sara
2. "Shooting Star" ~Air Traffic
3. "Zero" ~Yeah Yeah Yeahs
4. "Horchata" ~Vampire Weekend
5. "D.A.N.C.E." ~Justice [the animation is soooo cool!]

Looking forward to a 3-day weekend, and "A Raisin In The Sun" duo interpretation for a speech tournament tomorrow!
It's this... nervous anticipation.
Hypnopædia!

So my friend got me into reading manga again, with Deathnote...
I love Light. I wish I was as smart as him! Aha.
I'd like to do a cosplay with me as Misa, and my friends as L and Light... although I don't like to do cosplay unless everything is perfect and you put alot of effort into it! The only other shoot I've done like that was Alice in Wonderland [you know I'm obsessed!]... so. Enjoy other people's cosplays instead? :D

Some AMAZING Deathnote cosplays...
Click N O W.

An awesome Light! The same person also does Alice in Wonderland, The Little Prince, and other manga/book cosplays... I think it's a girl, although she's very androgynous and often plays male characters... [she also has a twin!]

LIGHT. With real wings! [not Photoshopped]

The first cosplay I saw of L, back when I never read the series... I just randomly found this in my DeviantArt favourites! >.<

From the same photoshoot as the Light one.

Misa!! She's so pretty, isn't she? I like her style... it's like, Gothic-Victorian-ish? Her hair looks browner here, but in a different photo, it's reeeally blonde... I should find a pic of all three of them together [they seem like such good friends that way!], but I'm too lazy... It's in the link, anyways.

Oh, here's one...

Yeah, that's about it for now...
Picture posts are fun.
Good night!

I'm gonna do me, you do you. You're all a bunch of haters!

^"Haters" ~Everclear

It spells out "DREAM!" At first I was so distracted by their billowy clothes that I didn't notice x]

[it's from Kanye West's blog: Clicky!] Speaking of Kanye, he's actually on thinkexist.com for his quotes... LOL. This is too funny.

"Now I can let these dream killers kill my self esteem-or use my arrogance as steam to power my dreams!!!"

"
In America, they want you to accomplish these great feats, to pull off these David Copperfield-type stunts. You want me to be great, but you don't ever want me to say I'm great?"

“Thank God I'm not too cool for the safebelt.”

"NO!!! I DON'T LIKE THIS!!! PLEASE NOOOO!! AN ASTON IS AN ART PIECE NOT A FAMILY VEHICLE. THE BRAND REPRESENTS THE INTERNATIONAL PLAYBOYS. WHEN DID THEY DECIDE TO GROW UP. I JUST WANNA SEE KOBE JUMP OVER IT, THAT'S ABOUT IT!"

What a funny person!
Aaaanywaysss....

So the weatherpeople have been predicting snow for the entire week, and finally! There was snow today! It's so beautiful...

A two-hour delay! That was the most our school would give us... What a shame. But still, pretty awesome.

I found out that Dorian Gray movie was already out in the U.K. last September!! 9/9/09, to be exact. I HAVE TO WATCH IT.

Now!

Make pretend it's 1969 FOREVER

I love how everyone's blog posts is about 2010.

-I Am-
Listening to: Random indie music...
Reading: Ne
w issue of Teen Vogue
Craving: Sleep

Thinking about: "The Stranger" by Albert Camus... I read it at my friend's house while she was at her piano lesson. In 2 hours. Well, it's only 117 pages. It's so... good, actually. The main character reminded me alot of Holden from "The Catcher In The Rye" because he was so... not-caring and passive, kind of just... nonchalant. The book is super-existentialist... Clicky!

-Quotes-

"Let your life be a counter friction to stop the machine."
~Henry David Thoreau [from "Civil Disobedience"]

-Today's Playlist-
"Bad Romance" ~Lady Gaga
"Les Cactus" ~Jacques Dutronc

"Melody" ~Kate Earl

"Poker Face" ~Lady Gag
a
"Drive-In Saturday" ~David Bowie

"Mon Enfance" ~Jacques Brel

-Current Obsessions-
1. Interesting books
2. Henry David Thoreau

3. James Franco

4. Flannel pants

5. Sweater leggings [so warm!]

6. Jacques Brel
7. Woodstock Festival, 1969
8. François Hardy

9. "Milk", the movie
10. Comedians

So we went to my best friend's house for a luncheon yesterday, which turned into a dinner party as the adults started playing poker again, which turned into a sleepover as the night dragged on.

But! This sleepover was... DIFFERENT.
Instead of just watching non-stop movies [like we usually do!],
we actually did...
educational stuff.
-gasp-
We wrote 2 SAT essays, spent 1 hour on moral dilemmas [they're so thought-provoking and interesting! LOVE them], and then watched "Taking Woodstock", "Alice in Wonderland", and half of "Milk."

I love Michael in "Taking Woodstock," he's so chill and relaxed about everything. Well, he's a hippie. And his main line is, "Oh, it's beeeautiful." or "Yes, I'm sensing good vibes." It's so funny. And the movie ends by him saying "It's beautiful." and Elliott [playing by Demetri Martin!] says, "Beautiful." Exactly how I wanted the movie to end! Yay!
And my friend's favourite line was when they're putting out this white sheet to signal the plane to land there, and Elliott's mum is like, "What are you doing, trying to get Ku Klux Klan here?" or something... it doesn't sound funny, but you should watch the movie. It's actually kind of boring, but it has funny quotes and trippy-psychedelic-ness.

We weren't even planning on sleeping at all, even though we
had Church the next morning and would probably fall asleep during the service.
But her mum came in around 4:30 a.m. and took her MacBook! So we couldn't finish watching Milk. Darn!! It was a really good movie, so far. It makes gay couples seem so normal. I mean, not weird at all... And James Franco! :) It's basically about this gay man who runs for office and gets in and tries to get more rights for gay people.
They make such a cute gay couple... and it's a real story, too! So yeah, I think I'll finish watching it sometime...teenager who looks like Napoleon Dynamite with curly hair and plastic black glasses and he's like, "That's great for you, but I'm not voting for you, old man!" But later he changes his mind, of course. I wonder who plays him...

I wish we could someday break our record of 5 a.m. and really not sleep!!!

We were SO close.

I can't believe winter break is over.
I really really really don't want to go back to school...
Actually.
Once you get into the flow, it's okay.
It's once you disrupt the flow and take a break, going back is hard...
30% chance of snow tomorrow.
I've got my fingers crossed, but I don't think we'll be so lucky.
Even if we get snow, the school board are meanies.

-Thoughts-

I remember when I was so fascinated by how Matt traced veins on his arms...
Aha.

So yesterday we went to a New Year Eve's party, like every other year. I wish I could've gone to see fireworks, or something. I really want to be in Times Square to see the ball drop sometime in my life! At first I felt really awkward 'cause all the girls seemed to know each other and they were all much younger than me... but then I started talking to this girl who seemed like a bit of a loner and thus our adventures began. Like the other girls were talking about their boyfriends and crushes and school drama, and I thought they must be in middle school or something. BUT. It turns out they're only 5th and 6th graders!!! What?! :O Wow, I was kinda shocked there. I can't believe people have so much relationship drama stuff in 6th grade... I used to think 10 years old is really old though. I guess I still do. The girl I was talking to was 11, and she's a HUGE Panic At The Disco and Fall Out Boy fan. Everyone else was wearing Abercrombie and skinny jeans, and I might've spotted some makeup... On 6th grade girls. I don't really like girls wearing makeup that young, it's like... you don't need it! Goodness. And they all had high-tech phones, and everyone had an iTouch. Wow.... a few girls were just texting and going on Facebook the whole time. It's like, "You can do that at home... you're at a party, have fun?" Um... yeah. So the girl showed me some YouTube videos. Happy Tree Friends [thank goodness, no Salad Fingers... he's creeeeepy >.<], Fall Out Boy stuff, "Draw With Me" [sooo good.... it's an animation about this boy and girl who are separated by a glass wall -----> Clicky!] And then my mum walked in on us while she was showing me "Hollywood Whore" ~Papa Roach, there was blood everywhere in the video and it was embarrassing... aha.

So the girl whose house we were at turned 11! And her friends are soooo loud... just like screaming and making funny noises for no reason! So yeah, so me and the loner girl started walking around 'cause we didn't have anything better to do [everyone else went to the same school and were gossiping]. And we kept on bumping into this guy who was also walking around... turns out he's a freshman in high school. But he was playing table hockey with this really petite Korean girl and getting beat up by her, it was so funny x) She is vicious! And we were blasting music on people's iPods really loudly, except "Viva La Vida" kept on playing on repeat about 20 times... Eeeeeh. I got so tired of that song by the end of the night! So I put my iPod in and the guy wanted to listen to rap and rock stuff, so we were playing Green Day and stuff...

Then we watched the ball drop [it's only like 30 seconds of excitement...] and the adults started the longest poker game ever. I think there should be a Guiness World record for it or something. And everyone left except this small Chinese girl with pigtails and this really hyper, energetic Whasian girl. She's so funny. And people started drifting off to sleep but me and Claire [the Whasian girl] were determined not to [I can't anyway, I'm not sleeping over!]. So we started performing "Bohemian Rhapsody" like a drama, with all the funny voices and motions and stuff.... we were so loud that I don't think the other girls could sleep! Mission accomplished, aha. And then we started talking about her sisters who go to TJ [BOTH of them!] and philosophy, and how she writes poetry... She is so mature for a 10-year old... I never would have thought. So she was like, "I have a 3rd person voice, a fantasy voice, a poetry voice, and stuff..." So we actually had a pretty good conversation. Her older sister is so talented, by the way. Like wow... her voice, and she's so pretty! But yeah, and she was saying how guys at TJ try to outdo each other with asking girls to prom. She said her sister's boyfriend drove to TJ at midnight to put up a banner asking her to prom! Lol. Those kids :p And we started playing the Questions game, and talked about if we were guys, about how she thought roses were the perfect flower of love [she is SO metaphorical and was talking in poetry talk the whole time...] and we didn't fall asleep! It's so interesting to see different sides of people. Like before, she was SOOOO hyper [I really got scared] and she was mad 'cause she didn't save her top score on a game, and she started punching pillows and cursing and stuff. But then in that room, at like 3 in the morning, she was so thoughtful and philosophical... it's really a different, quiet side...

When my parents -finally- finished playing cards, it was 4:30 a.m.
I didn't sleep at all.
Happy 2010 everyone! :D

Make a wish! :D
[I actually stayed up until 11:11 p.m. to take this!]

Un, deux, trois, GO!

^TWIGGY!! :D I love her.

So.
I have started a new blog asides from A Cheshire Smile.

It's totally unknown and secret, unless you somehow find the link... :p
I feel like it's kind of an online journal [since I'm sometimes too lazy to write everything down in my paper journal], and it's mostly for venting and ranting about random and depressing stuff...
Please don't ask to see it, but the title is based on one of my post titles here...
...if anyone is that interested.

It's funny how something can exist on the Internet, open for everyone to see, yet it's totally obscure unless you find it?

I love that.
That's what StumbleUpon is for!

Sunshine, 2:40 pm

^My rainbow stripey sockssss

Thanksgiving break is so short... we should adopt a school system where we had a week of break every other week.

So I had to read some Hawthorne stuff for English, one of the essays being "The Birthmark." It's about this beautiful woman named Georginia who is almost perfect... except she has a tiny hand-shaped birthmark on her face. While some people find it attractive, her husband Aylmer resents it. Aylmer is a scientist and wants to remove the birthmark, so he works in his laboratory for days to produce a potion for her. And at the end [of course it's gonna be depressing], Georginia drinks the potion and her birthmark fades! You'd think, "Yay, all's well that ends well", right? Aylmer is absolutely estatic because he'd finally achieved this feat [and the potion is also like the Elixir of Immorality], but then Georginia dies because the birthmark is like... connecting her spirit to her almost-perfect body? And she dies at the end.

Yesterday my friends came over and we played Monopoly for about 3 hours straight. Too bad my friend started monopolising everything [I FINALLY understand why it's called Monopoly; you're supposed to buy all the properties and have a monopoly on the utilies, railroads, etc!!!] and owned a whole side of the board, complete with little hotels. Making us all go bankrupt, basically! But then Amy and I [aha, the Amy side of the board] formed an alliance to own an entire side too! And now I can't stop calling "Boardwalk" Broadway, 'cause my friend kept saying that... now that space is covered with glitter and pizazz!

Fun, fun.
First time ever this Thanksgiving, we all woke up at 4:30 am to go Black Friday shopping.
It's ridiculous[ly fun!].
Like you're driving when everything's dark and then you're so hyper 'cause you barely slept but it's so exciting anyways!

I finally found a box of brand-new crayons that I think I'll use to make rainbow crayon cupcakes or something :D

I really want to write something, or make something amazing but I have no ideas...
High School Diplomats applications are due JANUARY 7, and I have no ideas on what to draw for my collage!!!!!!
I feel like I've lost all my drawing skills, I only make doodles and stuff now...
Or.
Maybe I can make an altered book, like the Alice in Wonderland one.
I wish I was in Art 3.

Disregard this.

-start rant-

Why must some people be skinnier than others?
Why must some people have really slim upper bodies but curvier lower bodies?
Or vice versa (is "vice versa" Latin, by the way...?)
It's just so disproportional!
And anorexia videos are so so sad, especially combined with really moving music.
It can really make you cry.
Have you ever felt like you could just eat and eat and eat and you're not even hungry?
Like a music binge or chat binge, but instead it's a food binge?
You're just bored, or rummaging around your kitchen for anything, something, but there's nothing good to eat anyway.
And after you eat something salty, you have to counter-balance it with something sweet, to neutralise it, so you just end up eating more and it's a cycle and you start to wonder, "Well, what if I just threw up?"
But then the thought of sticking your fingers down your throat and puking seems too gross and revolting to actually do, and that would probably mark you as a bulimic, so you don't.
And then you heat up that disgusting Campbell's Condensed Soup with Spongebob Squarepants noodles in it, but you add too much water and then dump it down the drain, but place the dirty bowl in the sink so it would look like you ate it, but you really didn't.
So this post basically has alot of run-on sentences and bad grammar and whatnot, but who cares?
It's hard being a grammar&spelling Nazi.
So you're walking home from school, really determined that you're just going to WORK when you get home. On homework.
And so you do, but then you're supposed to be working on debate speeches and researching topics.
Instead, you go on Polyvore and make a whole bunch of secret sets and favourite everybody's stuff and also chat with people.
But finally you focus and manage to write a few outlines. Whew.
So after dinner, you call your best friend and you can talk about anything, and you start talking about pregnancy, and teen pregnancy and you feel so bad for those teen mums with a kid...
Put them up for adoption, keep it, or... -gasp- Shall I say abortion?
Of course not the latter, but your friend thinks so.
And adoption instead of having kids in the future because she doesn't want to pass her skin disease to her kids... that's probably for the best.
Somehow the conversation moves to how there are mice in your friend's house and how she hate mice, she wants to kill them all viciously.
And creepy Edgar Allan Poe stories, disappearing lineages, and incest.
"Do you realise that if everyone just adopted kids, your lineage/family would disppear?"
What if you're dying to see what's it's like to be an anoretic, even though you know everything about the disease and that it's really self-destructing?
What if you feel like your brain's going to explode with all the things you have to do?
What if you hate looking at yourself because you look weird...?
What if you're nervous about finally going back into debate and giving speeches in front of 20-30 people again?
What if your friend's boyfriend just gave her a dozen roses, and he's usually a really pessimistic, cynical guy? It's just so nauseatingly cute and then you want to pretend it never happened 'cause you can't imagine someone like that doing something so romantic and... nice.
What if you're really hoping for a special visit?
What if you see people hugging and holding hands and wish they'd realise how lucky they are that they're together, right there? Not separated by miles and miles or oceans? :p
What if you feel like you're leading a double life occasionally, with being happy at school but then so messed-up and having dangerous thoughts when you're alone? "Thoughtcrime IS death."
What if you sneaked the phone out of the house to call someone, but then you realise that your dad might be starting a telephone conference so you can't use the phone?
What if...............................................?

-end rant-

I want her hair.

Never shout never!

^That's a good band name :)

-Secret No. 166 on Polyvore!
-Skype is pretty exciting... my dad and I were talking while sitting right next to each other x)

-I want to sit on rooftops.
-Movies I want to see: Spirited Away, Where The Wild Things Are, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs... perhaps over the weekend?

So I was talking to my friend, and she was like, "Wow, I didn't know you were going out with _____. It's not official until it's on Facebook!" I was like... "Really? Really?" I mean.... I don't know. If it's on Facebook, it should be a mutual thing... That would be publicising alot, but... I guess it doesn't really matter? Except maybe Church people will think it's odd, but maybe some "secrets" are meant to be told :p

...so!

I can't wait for the 4-day weekend! But... I'm sick. Uuugh :( Well... like, my nose isn't really runny, but my throat hurts. -sad face-

Growing up...

Our best friend becomes your enemy. Lollipops turn into cigarettes. The innocent ones turn into sluts. Homework goes in the trash. Mobile phones are being used in class. Detention becomes suspension. Soda becomes vodka. Undies turn into g-strings. Kisses turn into sex. Remember when high meant swinging on the playground? when protection meant wearing a helmet? when the worst thing you could get from boys was cooties? Dad's shoulders were the highest place on earth and Mom was your hero? Your worst enemies were your siblings. Race issues were about who ran the fastest. War was only a card game. The only drug you knew was cough medicine. Wearing a skirt didn't make you a slut. The only things that hurt you were skinned knees. And goodbyes only meant until tomorrow, and we couldn't wait to grow up?

Taken from a Polyvore set -----> Clicky!

Rainbow cake-in-a-jar I made awhile back! It was really difficult and quite violent to get out... Lol. But ever since I made them once for school, this guy at my bus stop has been begging me to make them... I'm like, "It's just food colouring!" x)

-Random thoughts-

Blogging is kind of boring... But I don't have any new secrets on Polyvore at the moment. I need to start getting better grades in school 'cause they are quite atrocious... I have to write a paper about nerds for AP Lang, which sounds fun :D

The weather is ridiculously cold, and I need to buy new clothes... school is stressful and it's the almost last week of 1st quarter!!!! Already!!

I'm going to die.
It may be the first time I have a whole spectrum of A's to D's on my report card.
And I REFUSE to let that happen!!!!!
Whyyy is AP US so hard?! I absolutely love the class and I'm NOT dropping out no matter what! But still!
At least a 13/15 on an essay is better than 3/10.

-Obsessions-

Of course, the top 10 list.

1. Purple!
2. Acid-washed jeans
3. Cardigans
4. Anything warm
5. Someone... :)
6. Beautiful colour-changing autumn trees
7. Debate/speech
8. Glee!!
9. Playing piano versions of songs ----> Clicky!
10. Friendship bracelets

"Imagination is the best way to say, "Fuck you!" to reality

^I found that quote whilst making sets on Polyvore! Sorry for the vulgarity, but I thought it was amusing. And quite true ;D

It's funny how after running for 40 minutes straight while blasting your iPod, you feel so much better.

Today was so hectic, ranging from euphoria to total hysterical giggles to frustration. My friend just discovered a webcam-thing called YouCam on her computer (after she's had it for like three years... aha) and we were messing around with it. It's like you can make silly faces and put in special effects. Some look like you're in Alice's world and through the looking glass. Pretty trippy and colourful! The funniest part was making up voices for these adorable talking animals. My favourite was the lion plushie, which reminded me of Butter Lion. So cute :)

I can't add text on Polyvore anymore for some reason, and that upsets me... But I'm spreading the addiction of making these online collages. Aha...

Autumn is here and I love it so much! The weather is absolutely gorgeous and lovely. I want it to stay like this foreverrrrr... I'd like to go on a walk-and-talk journey with someone.

There's not that much to write about, nor is this an obsession. But my new favourite smiley face is =] It looks kinda weird here though... I dislike brackets in general.

Oh, and my grandma's mint tea recipe to combat the swine flu really isn't bad.

And without you, is how I disappear

I'm actually following my schedule for AP hw, which kinda scares me. I must be really bored.

Blythe dolls are my new obsession. They're just so cute!! And I think they're more affordable than Super Dollfies (BJD ones)... Hopefully? Oh I just checked! They're like... $100ish, some less. Yaaaay. I would want an Alice one, maybe one with blue hair, and one with red hair :) But if you have one, I guess you could just buy different outfits and wigs... But then I kinda feel like it's the same person, you know? I like to give personas to inanimate objects. I know.

That Blythe doll is so perfect for Alice!!

Up!

And a bunch of other stuff from Polyvore. I still make like three sets a day... http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/profile?id=976144

But school starts in A WEEK and that's annoying! ><
At the same time, I'm actually looking forward to September though... Because.

1. My birthday!!
2. Grandma's birthday
3. The new Muse CD comes out!
4. I'm gonna start taking a photo of my maple tree everyday! Like the tree chronicles! In pictures!
5. Autumn is here!!!
6. MUSE CONCERT :D
7. I'll be receiving a letter from my friend!

This post is so random... So Random, like the show on Sonny With A Chance! See, I always thought it was Sunny... But Selena Gomez > Demi Lovato ;D

Our telephone wires are crossed

I think I will memorise your telephone number before long...

Rain outside, eating frozen pizzas, being completely bored out of my mind, listening to Supermassive Black Hole... what else is new?

There's like no time to do anything, but at least I'm glad there's some people who haven't even started their AP hw yet... Aha.

I finally watched The Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas! After what seems like forever! I liked The Corpse Bride better just because Victor Van Dort is such a clumsy guy that it's cute and funny. And I watched it first :) It's so funny how their body and limbs are so thin, it's like they're going to snap...

I'm actually following the schedule I made for myself! -shockkk- And yesterday I had the most amusing dream about my friends belly-dancing on Wii.

^"Invincible" cover. Can't imagine what it's like to actually meet them! Muse, I mean. I don't know what I'll do if I actually met Matthew Bellamy. Faint? Say hi-i-i-iiiiiii? Aha. Maybe I can get their autographs? Two copies, for suuure.

Une lettre pour toi

Dear Scum of the Earth,

I love you. You have a nice smile. You make my/me happy when we talk together. You are a bird flying free. You should go see a Muse concert. Someday I will go to Paris with you. You + me = awesomeness forever! If I saw you on the street I'd wave and say hi while watching my balloons float away!!! I want to hug you. I would build a Kurt Cobain Museum just for you. If I could sing you any song it would be anything you like (War On Drugs?). We should walk and talk under the stars.

Love, (or From)
MissWonderlander

(P.S. I really want to choreograph the dance from Helena in the rain! And I like calling you, although the government has some conspiracy against us. Come visit soon)!
