Wow, it's August already? August 3rd, no less. A year flew by so quickly... one more to go! Everything will be alright :)
First day of cross-country, wow... I can't imagine doing this everyday, at 8 a.m. And then afterschool once school starts... but I can't quit. As easy as that is, I can't. It is strangely satisfying and I feel accomplished for spending my mornings running instead of sitting around on a computer and doing nothing... although that is fun too! Aha.
I just finished watching "Heima." It's basically Sigur Rós playing a series of free, unannounced concerts in their home country, Iceland ["Heima" means home in Icelandic]. WOW. It is so amazing and beautiful! I definitely want to visit Iceland someday. It seems isolated a bit, quiet, yet full of life and interesting people... Sigur Rós, their music is just so wonderful and I can't think of another band like them [well, I know there are other ones like Explosions in the Sky and The Candlepark Stars and such, but I'm biased!]. Combined with the film, it's enough to make you cry at parts... and Jónsi is so funny! Especially at the end, it went something like this: "Kjarri [band member]'s grandmother came to our concert and thought it was really loud. Then she heard it was on TV, so she's like, 'Why don't we just watch it on TV?!' And our finale was really intense, with alot of lights and flashes. She thought there was something wrong with the TV and turned it off!" Ahaha...
365 days. Countdown!

My feelings are more important than yours

Revamp!
Uuum.... I'm not sure this is how I meant for it to turn out when I started changing it!
I kinda wanted it to be black and everything is floating in it, like the Cheshire Cat's maniacal grin. It's certainly... darker than before.
But a change is needed, especially since it's A WEEK until the new Alice in Wonderland movie comes out! :D
*************************************************
Razor blade, that's what I call love
I bet you pick it up and mess around with it
If I put it down
It gets extremely complicated
Anything to forget everything
You got to take me out
At least once a week
Whether I'm in your arms
Or I'm at your feet
I know exactly what you're thinking
You won't say it now
But in your heart it's loud
Oh no, my feelings are more important than yours
Oh, drop dead, I don't care, I won't worry
There you go
Oh, the razor blade
Wish it would snap this rope
The world is in your hand
Or it's at your throat
At times it's not that complicated
Anything to forget everything
He would never talk
But he was not shy
She was a street-smart girl
But she could not lie
They were perfect for each other
Say it now
'Cause in your heart it's loud.

Low of Solipsism
L.
Check out his music, it's nice...
I hope they make it as a band one day!
They should put more original songs on there.
The "happy birthday" at the end of the "You Belong With Me" cover is so sweet.
I just realised who the video was dedicated to......
******************************************************
Band names:
-J'Aimme [wordplay on "J'aime" with my name... kinda egotistical if we choose this as our band name though... aha]
-Crystalline
I like both. Crystalline is nice, it reminds me of ice and chemicals and glitz =]
And then there's HA-PAH! which includes the initials of everyone in the band, although it left out one member [the D!]... And we'd probably add more and more people, so this wouldn't work out...
Take a vote?

A survey on a blog. Hmm...
********************************************************
Do you believe in the Mayan prophecy (world ends in 2012)?
Nope...
Looking back, did you ever waste too much time on a someone that treated you bad?
Maybe...
Have you chewed gum after someone else already chewed it?
Nope!
When was the last time you talked to one of your best friends?
Just half a hour ago.
Anything happen to you within the past month that has made you really angry?
Yeeah...
When you and your friends are out and about do you usually get dirty looks?
Not usually, unless we're doing something really weird... :p
Who were you last in a car with other than yourself?
My parents? Actually... people on my bus...
Is it hard for you to get over someone?
Hmm... not that much, although they do appear in my dreams sometimes. When they disappear from my dreams, I'm over them.
We all hate backstabbers, did you experience some lately?
Nope! I have good friends :)
Bet you're missing someone now?
Yeah.
Do you get along with girls?
I'd like to think so!
Have you ever thought about getting your nose pierced?
Not really... piercings are kinda scary.
Do you think you've changed over the past year?
Hmm. People say I haven't...
Are you currently looking forward to anything?
Cosplay!!!! And 4-day weekends. Dreading aLOT of things too though...
Who is the last male you hugged?
Er. I don't usually hug guys...
Have you realized anything recently?
Yeah, that monosodium glutamate is MSG x] The AP chem part of me was like, "Oh look! Chemicals! What's this...? I'll go look it up!" And my dad was like, "Seriously...? It's MSG..." Lol.
How did you meet the last male you texted?
I don't textttt.
What were you doing at 7:45 this morning?
In bed listening to Radiohead
Do you hate it when you go over to someone's house and do absolutely
nothing?
Then you start asking, "What do you want to do?" which leads to your friend asking, "I don't know, what do YOU want to do?" and it's an endless circle. It's kinda amusing.
Do you believe in love?
Yeeah!
Where would you rather live, England or Italy?
Aaaack this is a hard question!! Uuuum....... Paris.... I'd have to go to each place first to check it out! [actually, this is just to avoid the question...]
When someone says "We need to talk", what runs through your mind?
Um, sure...? What are we talking about, exactly?
Are you still friends with the last person who broke your trust?
I can't think of anyone who broke my trust lately...
Has someone ever made you a promise and broke it?
Yeah...
Have you ever ate a bug for money?
Aha, NO.
What was the last thing you did before you went to bed last night?
Listen to music
Do you know anyone with the same middle name as you?
I don't have a middle name!
Think back to five months ago. were you single?
Yeah...?
Do you want your life to stay the way it is right now forever?
No!!
What are you listening to right now?
Nothing.
You think "I love you" are strong words?
Yeah but they're said too much sometimes...
Are promises important to you?
This is a repetitive survey... And yeah.
Whose bed did you last sit on?
My own...
Where's your best guy friend?
At home? Or leaving to go back to school?
Do you believe what goes around comes around?
Sometimes!
Want someone back in your life?
Nope.
Have you ever lost a best friend?
Yeah.
Is there a person of the opposite sex who means a lot to you?
I suppose ;D
Do you believe exes can be friends?
Yeah!
Name one of your friends who is the most like you?
Like me...? JOY!
Who was the first person you talked to today?
My dad.
What were you doing this morning at 7 am?
Sleeping... and I'm certain you already asked this!
Do you think you'll be married in 10 years?
Maybe?
Do you think someone is thinking about you right now?
Maybe... maybe they're typing a survey onto their blog too!
Are you a forgiving person?
Yeah, I try!
When was the last time something REALLY made you laugh?
Funny scenes in Deathnote... Ryuk: "If you understand what I'm saying, just shut your mouth and stay quiet."
Are you talkative?
I can be really hyper and never stop talking...!
Has anyone ever given you jewelry on Christmas?
Of course!
Do you think you can last in a relationship for 2 months?
-nods-
Have you ever slept on a couch with someone else?
Yeah. Sleepovers!
Do you think you can love someone and not trust them?
Yeah... but maybe it's not such a good relationship then.
Have you ever kissed a blue-eyed person?
Nope.
Do you go by your first, middle or last name?
First. I'm boring.
They've got a Cheshire Cat grin
"Just as you take my hand
Just as you write my number down
Just as the drinks arrive
Just as they play your favourite song
As your bad mood disappears
No longer wound up like a spring
Before you've had too much
Come back in focus again
The walls abandon shape
They've got a Cheshire Cat grin
All blurring into one
This place is on a mission
Before the night owl
Before the animal noises
Closed circuit cameras
Before you're comatose
Before you run away from me
Before you're lost between the notes
The beat goes round and round
The beat goes round and round
You never really got me there
I just pretended that I had
Words are blunt instruments
Words are a sawed-off shotgun
Come on and let it out
Come on and let it out
Come on and let it out
Come on and let it out
Before you run away from me
Before you're lost between the notes
Just as you take the mic
Just as you dance, dance, dance
Jigsaw falling into place
There is nothing to explain
You eye each other as you pass
She looks back, you look back
Not just once
Not just twice
Wish away the nightmare
Wish away the nightmare
You've got it on you, can feel it on your back
It on you, can feel it on your back
Jigsaw falling into place ."
It's funny how much more sense Radiohead songs become once you find out the lyrics. My friend made me a Radiohead mix and I listened to it straight through. I really like "Let Down" and "Jigsaw Falling Into Place." It's kinda hard to like them though... some songs I think are brilliant while others are just eeh... It takes awhile. I like their Alice in Wonderland references though! :)

Musica!

So I was talking with my friends at my bus stop about how I wanted to make a band called Hyper Overdose, and now they're taking it seriously...
It might actually become a reality...!!
There's this Battle of the Bands thing at school, and just amazingly, a band dropped out at the last minute.
My friend wants me to do something, but really, we don't even know our band name [see, people don't want to call it Hyper Overdose...]! It would be funny if we went, made a mess, and won! Kinda like Muse's success story [it all started with them winning a battle of the bands thing... supposedly they all wore white face paint and goth makeup? And called themselves Rocket Baby Dolls? Ahahaha].
Possible band names we brainstormed... [it's really fun to come up with them... but some are just ridiculous!] Feel free to laugh.
-Wonderland [My idea, of course!]
-The Wonton Experience [Get it? Like the Jimi Hendrix Experience, but not]
-Seizures! On The Dance Floor [parody of Panic! At the Disco]
-Fire Hydrant
-Emergency Exit [We took stuff from our bus as inspiration...]
-Do Not Block
-Pink Hippos [This guy kept on coming up with hippos! :p]
-Knights of the White Camelia [Sounds cool, but it's actually a white supremist group like the KKK after the Civil War... so yeah, bad idea!]
-K.K.K. [Kool Kids Klub. Once again..... bad idea]
-Saturn ["Why don't we name our band after planets?"]
-Pluto ["Oh man, Disney is going to sue us..."]
-The Rolling Squares [Umm.... parody of the Rolling Stones??]
We're weird.
Post better ideas if you have them...

-Thoughts-
Winter break is really flying by, although I've kind of settled into doing nothing productive and everything to waste it, it seems. I have the 1985 version of Alice in Wonderland next to me, as well as Marie Antoinette... I'm inclined to watch both of them now. I actually haven't had the time to finish the second half [yes, Alice Through The Looking Glass!] of the movie, so I really should... And I'm already dreaming of the beautiful Victorian costumes in Marie Antoinette. Speaking of which, the Miss Dior Chérie ad is probably one of the most beautiful ads ever made!!
[Clicky]

That embodies everything I'd want in a commericial!
Parisian, pretty colours, gorgeous scenery, balloons...
Anyways, good night for now!
Looking forward to more boredom tomorrow...
I think I'll bake some oatmeal-white-chocolate-chip-cranberry cookies.

My misery is so addictive
"Don't bend
Don't blink

Ice Queen, c'est moi.

Every school day before winter break seems to never end...
I'm sick of tests and homework.
I just want to wear my tie-dye shirt and Muse necklace while freezing because I'm always always cold...
Who else wants to see "The Princess and the Frog"?
I'm anticipating a massive baking fest this weekend, 'cause the holidays are coming...
Winter is here.
"I'm tired of everyone I know,
of everyone I see
on the street
and on TV.
On the other side,
on the other side
nobody's waiting for me.
On the other side
I hate them all.
I hate them all.
I hate myself for hating them,
so I'll drink some more.
I love them all.
I'll drink even more.
I'll hate them even more
than I did before.
On the other side,
on the other side
nobody's waiting for me.
On the other side.
I remember when you came,
you taught me how to sing.
Now, it's seems so far away.
You taught me how to sing...
I'm tired of being so judgemental
of everyone
I will not go to sleep.
I will train my eyes to see
that my mind is as blind
as a branch on a tree.
On the other side,
on the other side.
I know what's waiting for me.
On the other side.
On the other side,
on the other side
I know you're waiting for me.
On the other side."

"Now it's three in the morning and
You're eating alone
Oh the heart beats in its cage
All our friends they're laughing at us
All of those you loved, you mistrust
Help me, I'm just not quite myself
Look around there's no one else left
I went to the concert and I fought through the crowd
Guess I got too excited when I thought you were around..."

Rain & Radiohead
Today seems to drag on and on and all my classes seemed so long...............
But it was a good day, still.
In the afternoon, it started pouring and I stayed afterschool with no umbrella.
But after "dancing" in the rain for awhile, my friend lent me his.
And today's filled with nice things like that.
Like I let my friend borrow my MIKA cd {which is all broken and in terrible shape}, and he returned a brand new cd to me!!
I seriously thought he was a magician for a second 'cause the cd was so beautiful and not-broken!
But no, he went out and bought a NEW cd! Isn't that nice?
And also I got a Radiohead CD :D
Too bad I need to look up all the lyrics 'cause I have NO idea what Thom Yorke is singing...
It's funny 'cause AFTER you look up the lyrics, you're like, "Oh, that's so obvious, of course that's what he is singing!" Mental-set? Psychology terminology...
I really like the second song but I don't know what song it is 'cause there's no track listing!!!
I foresee a music binge......

Animal Farm

...is so sad!
At first I thought it was really amusing how the animals talked, and the pigs are the most intelligent... And also it's so similar to the ideology of 1984 with "Comrade" and the whole erasing/altering of the past.
But it's so tragic!
The whole time I was just so anxious because I knew it was going to become worse, it can't be all happy-utopia-ish like it was in the beginning! :(
Then I found out it was criticising the Stalin era prior to WWII, and that makes alot of sense, I guess. At first there's two main leaders, (pigs) Snowball and Napoleon, but then Napoleon says Snowball is a traitor and they begin turning more and more into humans and changing all the commandments they had at the beginning.
Back to anorexia books.
"Wasted" is really good.
HEY.
Do you know any bands with 7 people, pop/rock genre, on tour right now? :D
If you have any guesses at all, please tell meeeee!!

I'm thinking about you, in my secret language.

"My British Tour Diary" ~Of Montreal
"On our trip to England I noticed something obscene
People still actually give a shit about the Queen
Though London girls aren't snobs at all
And Brighton's lovely in the fall
Left alone to drive ourselves on the opposite side
Man, it was a miracle that nobody died
Hanging out with Steven, Drew, Theo, Paul, and Sorrel, too
Eating at Welcome Breaks daily
We danced in Leeds with Brit Pop Haley
Performing with the Apples
And then crashing at the Wrights
Bitching because Steven booked us
On such early flights
Always in a foggy haze
Because we hadn't slept for days
Every single one of our London cabbies played
The most truly repellent techno music ever made
But they'll drop you without hesitation
If you try changing the station
Up to our necks in crisps and litter
In the van we dubbed the Gary Glitter ."
"Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse" ~Of Montreal
This reminds me so much of psychology, and all the chemicals in your brain! :D Also, my AP psych teacher -would- probably play this since his favourite band is Of Montreal. The do do do do part makes me smile! And want to dance (although I really can't).
"I'm in a crisis
I need help
Come on mood shift, shift back to good again
Come on mood shift, shift back to good again
Come on, be a friend
Nina Twin is trying to help, and I
Really hope that she succeeds
Though I picked the thorny path myself
I'm afraid, afraid of where it leads
Chemicals, don't strangle my pen
Chemicals, don't make me sick again
I'm always so dubious of your intent
Like I can't afford to replace what you've spent
Nina Twin is trying to help, and I
Really hope she gets me straight
Because my own inner cosmology
Has become too dense to navigate
I'm in a crisis
I need help
Come on mood shift, shift back to good again
Come on mood shift, shift back to good again
Come on, be a friend
Chemicals, don't flatten my mind
Chemicals, don't mess me up this time
Know you bait me way more than you should
And it's just like you to hurt me when I'm feeling good
Come on chemicals."
Goodnight.
And on a completely random note, I FINALLY figured out how to pronounce "Nietzsche!"
:D
Sattelighte.
Catts and myce.

(An old picture taken at a photo shoot with my friend; I think we were trying to capture a shot with the spider web... hmm!)
"WAIT. They don't love you like I love you."

It's TWLOHA Day! (To Write Love On Her Arms Day)
Cat was the only one who did, I don't think alot of people remembered...

I want a t-shirt like that :3
Being immersed in a world of crazy talking animals (Animal Farm),
Panicking over how to be a good presiding officer for debate,
Figuring out how the heck to do the physics & AP chem webassign,
Listening to Noah and the Whale/The Yeah Yeah Yeahs,
Daydreaming about Thanksgiving break,
Hoping for a surprise visit [fingers crossed!],
Maybe I'm actually starting to like square brackets,
And looking forward to "secret phone calls."
Perhaps.
Maybe?
Yes; yes; definitely.
Today was pretty good for Friday the 13th.
But then again I'm not too superstitious x)

Let the wild rumpus start!!

I listened to the entire Origin of Symmetry album today. Straight-through. Gaaah my brain hurts... although it's Muse. It's too much, all at once!! I made it all the way through... I had to skip to the end of "Micro Cuts" though...
EDIT: After listening through about 4x and looking up the lyrics to several songs (I can't understand anything Matt is saying in Micro Cuts), I think it's quite a nice album now... Even "Micro Cuts." It's much better when you find out the lyrical content and what the song's actually about! :p It's alot darker and aLOT of distortion and stuff...I like "Citizen Erased"... :)
"For one moment
I wish you'd hold your stage
With no feelings at all
Open minded
I'm sure I used to be so free."
"Screenager" ~Muse
"Who's so phony and always surrounded
Stop your screaming, no one can hear
All the scars on your skin, post no bills
Who you were
Was so beautiful
Remember who... who you were
Hide from the mirror, the cracks and the memories
Hide from your family, they won't know you now
For all the holes in our souls host no thrills
Who you were
Was so beautiful
Memories who... who you were."
The intro is really creepy. Joy showed me this song awhile back. It's quite sad and beautiful...
On a different note, I LOVE the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack!! So so good. I must see the movie.
"1, 2 ready, go!!
Grow some big feet, holes in history
Is where you'll find me, is where you'll find
All is Love, is love, is love, is love
L.O.V.E, it's a mystery
Where you’ll find me, where you’ll find
All is love, is love, is love, is love."

Most Amazing Night Ever!!!
"Wow, that was so goooood!!!!!!!!!"
That was all me and my friend could say after the Muse/U2 concert. Literally.
The weather was a gorgeous autumn day... Like crisp, with a slight breeze... And we started off with total panic after we realised my friend didn't have her ticket! So long story short, I had to figure out my dad's password to recover the tickets online. What a frenzy... The day was filled with amusing incidents though :D Like when we finally got to FedExField, we walked out of the car and were in awe of the huuuge stadium... so much so that we forgot our tickets! :p But I remembered. Thank goodness!
Muse was the supporting act, and we had to wait for about... a hour before they finally came on. It was an open stadium so we could see the cotton-candy-coloured skies above before it was finally dark, and the moon was overhead. So beautiful... I felt so at peace.
And when they finally came, I was so excited!!!! Like... wow. It's THEM!!! In person!! Matthew Bellamy, and everyone! Knights of Cydonia was first, and then... they played Hysteria, Supermassive Black Hole, Starlight, Uprising, United States of Eurasia, Plug in Baby... I feel like I'm missing something... Oh well. It was terribly short, I thought, but they sounded EXACTLY like their CD recordings/music videos!! (give or take a few extra guitar riffs) Wow. They're great live!! Their lighting and special effects on the big screen were reeeeaaaallllyyyy nice. Esp. on Starlight! All these psychedelic swirls... It was over way too soon >.< It'd be nice to see them on their own headlining tour sometime!
Then was U2!! We actually bumped into our pastor's wife (but we didn't see the pastor...) and another couple from Church there. It was pretty surreal! I wonder what they thought of Muse. But it was so funny, 'cause we went out to buy French fries and when we came back, the previously relatively empty stadium (I guess not alot of people know about Muse, still, in the U.S...) was FULL. Like every seat PACKED!! Wow. What a transformation!
U2 was... absolutely phenonmenal. I mean, I never really listened to their music prior to the concert but I was expecting to be blown away and coverted to a fan :D Bono is so inspirational. There was this rocket-like thing that glowed and looked really pretty, like a castle, in my opinion. And there were jets of lights right above our heads. The special effects are so nice. And there's this awesome screen with the lights show... My favourite effect was the disco-y lights scattered, lighting up on everyone. And then the "Milky Way" with everyone waving their cell phones in the darkness. And the music... wow. It ranges from like... peaceful to motivational to rock. And Bono gives inspirational mini-speeches... The whole night was just amazing. I wish I could do this every year for my birthday! :D
It was about 2 a.m. when we got home... A sleepover on a school night 'cause it was way too late to drive back to my house.
I felt like falling asleep in every single one of my classes today... but it was so worth it.
But now yesterday feels like so long ago..... Like I can't believe it happened! Once you're out of the stadium, the magicness disappears and you feel so surreal... Like "Did that really just happen??" Aha.
That's one life goal complete :)

You get the people and the government
Everybody taking different sides."
"Even when we're miles and miles apart

Whispers, "Hello, I've missed you quite terribly."
"Where you are the one, the one
That lies close to me
Whispers, "Hello,
I've missed you quite terribly."
I fell in love, in love
With you suddenly
Now there's no place else
I could be, but
Here in your arms."
"Here In Your Arms" ~Hellogoodbye

"I wouldn't like you more if you were perfect."
Because you're wonderful already! And getting emails from him is the excitement of my day :) It feels like awhile since I've talked to him though. Time goes the opposite way of what you want!
P.S. Music-binging on Malice Mizer and Moi Dix Mois (Aaaah it's so obvious it means "My Ten Months!" And I was so confused over the name... lol. French failure!) is very interesting. I still can't believe Mana is a guy!!! Thanks for enlightening me on that :p
P.P.S. I wish I could walk on air and sit on rooftops. I'm watching Lolita and Sid & Nancy today. The first was very true to the book... so violent at the end though. The latter... uum... Punk rock is pretty cool isn't it? Sid Vicious has spikey hair and cool clothes.

Psychedelia + Baking Experiments
Ahaaaa... Tis like an optical illusion in an album cover! It seems to mooove and makes me dizzy. Oooh it's so swiirlyyy.
"Merriweather Post Pavilion" ~Animal Collective

I'm going to attempt making rainbow cakes in glass jars... Hope my oven doesn't explode. Or maybe I'll just stick to French macaroons :) But supposedly they take years to perfect and they're really difficult to make. Whaaatever. I have to try!!

^Yuuuuum!
